The BLP 01 lounge chair is a minimalist expression of continuity and flow. Conceived as as a series of experiments with bent lamination techniques, this lounge chair provides comfort and style to the user and offers new perspectives on solid wood chair construction. A compound curved back panel hinges up from below the seat to provide lumbar support while the curved back rail seamlessly transitions from arm rest to chair leg. The continuity of parts is designed to encourage the user to engage in a tactile relationship with the entire object. Materials include solid ash, ash paperback veneer and baltic birch plywood.
